Nokia Normandy as Nokia Android

In order to develop the new phone, about which not much is known, Nokia done one extremely unusual step. The phone was given the code name Normandy, although it has been tested under different names. Nokia Normandy, or whatever you want to call this phone, is designed as the next step in the development of low-cost models of this great and legendary manufacturer from Finland. Just that isn’t particularly interesting, but, listen to this. Nokia Normandy was tested with a special kind of Android operating system! Like a knife in the butter. Ok, this Android isn’t very similar to the one that Google develops and sells, but it’s similar to what Amazon is working on with its Kindle line of devices. (more…)

The end of the year is coming and it is time to give the final statement when the Top 10 smartphones of 2013 are about. One of the first wish lists is compiled by a respected British portal, which gave its views on the past year when it comes to mobile phones. We need to point out that phones are provided in a free order, and that this list doesn’t imply that the No1 is really No1. Of course, the choice is yours, and may be appropriate if you want to use the upcoming holidays for buying some high-tech presents for your loved ones. (more…)

We all know that managers in big companies have a big, big paycheck, which we can only dream about, but what about the lawyers representing the companies? Yes, they have very expensive fees too. One of the biggest trials in the history of mobile phone manufacturers took place in Apple vs Samsung clash. The manufacturer from Cupertino sued the Koreans on several grounds. The judgment was passed and slowly the surface is filling with details of this historic process. You must be wondering how much Apple paid to get the case on court. Sony Xperia ZR review

Sony Xperia ZR comes from Xperia Z mini family. It’s something like a “downsized” version of Xperia Z. With a 4.5- inch HD display, 13MP camera and the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, this phone is everything but average. Compared to SONY’s high-end devices , Xperia ZR had to stay somewhere in the middle. However, this doesn’t mean that this is bad thing. On the contrary, it is high-middle class phone, which is reflecting the price. In addition, this model offers standard SONY water resistance, which only adds to his appeal. This is especially important because the Xperia ZR competes with rivals such as HTC Mini One, Nexus 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. (more…)

Nokia Asha 501 review

Nokia Asha 501 is a phone full of colors (and therefore happiness and life). It is simple and inexpensive. For some, this is a winning combination. This is a model with a touchscreen and it looks like a real smart phone. Nokia Asha 501 runs on Series 40 operating system, which lacks apps, and therefore functionality. Otherwise, it is a common operating system of classic Nokia phones. Overall, Nokia Asha 501 combines classical and more advanced features. Let’s find out what it is capable for. (more…)

iPad mini 2 review

iPad mini 2 is the latest device from Apple aimed to battle for the small tablet market. It seems that the manufacturer succeeded because this device has installed shiny new A7 chip and a whopping 128GB of internal storage (though the most expensive version). As icing on the cake appears fantastic Retina display and improved battery life, in order to hold increased number of pixels and a powerful processor for long. However, this is only part of the story, because the question of cost, which this time is fairly balanced, unusual for Apple, but certainly commendable. Issue with this tablet is the fact that Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX have a similar price. iPad mini 2 expectedly has no memory slot, and it is almost certain the 16GB version is not the best choice you can make. HTC One Max review

HTC One Max is proof that HTC wants to compete with Samsung. This phone with a large 5.9-inch display and features taken from the HTC One should be enough to fit on the line with models of the Galaxy series. Like competing models from Samsung, HTC One Max comes with a high price too. This device is more expensive than its basic relative.  HTC One Max is device for all occasions and all people. With this price it should be. (more…)

LG G Flex 1How many times happened you accidentally scratched your phone? I think there is quite a lot of ways to do that without intention. Usually we notice scratches later, but when everything is over and too late. The most common way to destroy the screen and the rest of the phone is mixing your phone with the keys, which you put together in your pocket or bag. As this is not a novelty, it was only a matter of time before one of the manufacturers gives the answer to this issue. It seems that LG was the fastest, with its most recognizable and certainly the most unusual model – LG G Flex. And all of that thanks to the self-healing technology. A guy named Marques Brownlee in his video presentation attempted to answer whether the LG G Flex is really as scratch resistant phone as LG claims. And he came to the very interesting conclusion. Samsung has a need to make a really good tablet. Sometimes the Koreans are simply determined to improve what they already have, and that’s why they offer the best they can at this moment. That is the case with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which in 2014 edition has taken some serious trimming. Of course, that kind of work the guys from Samsung are ready to charge. As we expected Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a high price range.
