Samsung Galaxy S6 vs HTC One M9: Design
You are still wondering whether the Samsung Galaxy S6 has better design than HTC One M9 or it is vice versa? Both, Samsung and HTC released two flagship smartphones on the Mobile World Congress, 2015 and we decided to compare the design of these two devices, to present their pons and cons and to make sure you make the best pick when worlds’ number one smartphone is concerned.
Galaxy S6 Design
Last years’ HTC One M8 beat Samsung Galaxy S5 when their design was concerned, but for us it was an obviously result since metal it is always better when is compared with plastic (body that Galaxy S5 had).
Samsung decided to change the design this time by combining Aluminium and Gorillas Glass 4 which gained Samsung Galaxy S6 to have a more expensive look and definitely made it the best looking phone of all the Galaxy S series. Looking at Galaxy’s S6 aluminium sides (only 6.8 mm width) we were impressed and even had to admit that this new look beat the look of Sony Xperia Z3 which has 7.3 mm body latitude.
One M9 Design
HTC decided to keep the same metal look as its predecessor the One M8 and we agree with most of the people when they say that HTC did not even need to change the build in materials of One M9. The HTC One M9 has kept its metal body with brushed finish on the back of the device which made it even more stylish but that does not necessarily means that M9 is better than S6.
One M9 measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6 mm and the Galaxy S6 features 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm; Right away we can see that the HTC One M9 has a larger body than Samsung Galaxy S6 especially when their widths’ are concerned, but that does not make One M9 less desirable! We can say that it feels great holding it in hands notably because its curved angles, and its price (since it costs less than S6) also proves that you do not need to have an extra big range price in order to feature a charming and good looking metal body.
Galaxy S6 vs One M9 Summary
After holding both devices and going throw their specifications we noticed that Galaxy S6 can be easily used with one hand while the M9 requested the use of both hands.
One big improvement for the Galaxy S6 is also its fingerprint scanner which the iPhone 6 also features. HTC One M9 does not have a fingerprint scanner for unlocking the screen but you can easily unlock it with the off-on button located on the right side of the device where you can easily get access to it.
At the end it is up to you to decide which device is better; The HTC One M9 it costs less than the Galaxy S6 but it is slightly bigger. Being bigger also has its advantages, wondering why? Well the One M9 has bigger body because it has bigger battery which we will talk more about on our future blog post Samsung Galaxy S6 vs HTC One M9!
